A Contemporary Retreat on the Maui Coast

Positioned along a sheltered stretch of the Maui coastline, the resort was envisioned as a contemporary oceanfront retreat shaped by landscape, atmosphere, and the experience of arrival from sea to shore. The architecture balances expansive open air living with moments of intimacy and calm, creating a hospitality experience that feels immersive, restorative, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Composed as a collection of terraced buildings woven into lush tropical gardens, the resort unfolds through layered pools, beachfront courtyards, elevated lanais, and panoramic Pacific views. Softly curved forms, expansive glazing, and deeply integrated landscape elements establish an architectural language rooted in warmth, fluidity, and understated luxury while framing the dramatic beauty of Maui’s coastline at every scale.

Interiors + Guest Experience

The interiors were envisioned as an extension of the surrounding landscape, drawing upon a restrained palette of warm woods, natural stone, textured plaster, and softly layered lighting to create spaces that feel calm, tactile, and deeply restorative. From the open air lobby to the intimate guest corridors and private suites, each environment was composed to balance refined luxury with a sense of quiet residential comfort.

Floor to ceiling glazing, expansive lanais, and carefully framed ocean views establish a constant connection to the Pacific while allowing natural light, tropical breezes, and the atmosphere of Maui to shape the guest experience throughout the day. The result is a hospitality environment rooted in warmth, serenity, and an understated sense of escape.
